"We have not had the (now) great pleasure of seeing you before last Sundays show.
As supporters of the Plaza my wife and I went along expecting just another band but from the first number we were "GOBSMACKED" to say the least and it continued fantastically all evening.
As good music and big band (there is no greater sound than one in full flight and yours sounded like 30 musicians) fans for more than thirty years and over in those years we have seen many great names.
It was just fabulous to see and hear your young talented musicians playing such great arrangements with swing, bounce, punch and enjoyment. How do you manage to find them! (only rhetorical)
Thank you for all the very hard work it must be to keep all the talent in your show in work. The Staging, Wardrobe and overall "LOOK" of the show was a pleasing spectacle.
Please thank "The Singers" and can Gillian have a solo next time?
Finally special thanks to sound guy. As you know the Plaza acoustics are difficult to get right but your guys got it 100% perfect.
All in all - just knock out entertainment"

"Just wanted to say my wife and I attended the consort at the Preston Guild hall last evening and just wanted to say it was the best evenings entertainment we have ever been to. The band and singers where terrific and we only hope that it is not to long before the band returns again to Preston. We will be regular visitors to your web site from now on to follow the venue dates once again. Thank you for a most enjoyable evening."

"There was a full auditorium present to enjoy this concert, which comprised of a cocktail of music performed a la James Last.
The Orchestra with two females and one male vocalist was fronted by an enthusiastic Mike James. This combination certainly swung and I was impressed with the work of the lead trumpet and trombone players, while the whole ensemble was passionately driven by a quite superb exhibition of drumming.
Good lighting endorsed requisite mood changes and it was a pleasure to experience sound effects that were well balanced and not in the ear-bursting category.
The Concert was well received by the audience who were encouraged to clap, sing, sway, stamp their feet and participate at every available opportunity. My lasting memory was, quite simply, a good balanced programme of happy music, very capably performed and a wardrobe of glamorous dresses which the girls appeared to change after each number. But Mike, the gold sequinned number should really be destined for the next carboot sale!"

"What a really nice sound - Great evening hope you can come again next year. I used to go to the JAMES LAST Concerts and also had the fortune to hear Basie and The Duke when they toured here so I know a good rhythm section when I hear them ! your band is just great. My friends who came also enjoyed you very much. Cheers and Keep Swingin'."
